The American School of Durango endeavors to employ a dynamic, creative, constructivist, knowledgeable staff that engages students in the learning process. All staff bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, yet they must be able to work collaboratively with peers and constantly seek opportunities to improve. As a result of teacher instruction, students should love coming to school, be inspired to learn, and be motivated to become an excellent classmate and global citizen. To this end, the school will recruit, select, employ and retain the best-qualified personnel available to achieve our goals and objectives as aligned with the ASD Mission, Vision and Core Values.


Teacher applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher), a valid teaching certificate, and/or a license in the content area or General Education. Previous experience is a plus, but we will also consider new teachers who have energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion to embrace the teaching profession.

      ● Resume, maximum two pages, with recent photograph
      ● Scanned copy of your teaching certification
